Web browsing: I use Ironfox on Android and Librewolf on desktop as my browser, because it is Firefox set up exactly the way I would set it up myself, without all of the hassle. I use the UBlock Origin, Bitwarden, Dark Reader, Privacy Redirect and SponsorBlock extensions. There are a few more extensions that I use but those don't really matter.
Search engine: After trying out pretty much everything available, I settled on DuckDuckGo Lite. I use this because it loads fast and is privacy-respecting.
Operating system: Before Linux, I used Windows 10, then Windows 11 for a few years. I switched to Linux because I saw Windows get much worse over the years. I used Linux Mint for a month, then Kubuntu for about 1 and a half years, and now I use CachyOS. I switched to CachyOS because it is rolling-release so I can get new kernels faster, it is very optimized and I have access to the AUR. My DE is KDE Plasma.
Ereader: I have an XTeink X4 with Crosspoint.
TV: I use TizenBrew on my Samsung smart TV to watch Youtube without ads. By the way, I hate how locked down this TV is. Can't even install anything from the app store without a Samsung account. I had to change the DNS server to an ad blocking one because there were ads on the menu.
Phone: I have a budget Samsung phone that is a few years old at this point. I uninstalled all of the bloatware with Canta and Shizuku. A majority of my apps are from F-Droid because open source software is generally just better. Some notable apps are CoMaps, Droid-ify, KDE Connect, LibreOffice viewer, MuPDF mini and RethinkDNS.
Other: Vim is my preferred text editor. I really like the terminus font for my terminal. I also use LibreOffice, RedLib, Invidious, Pinta, qimgv and AB Download Manager
